I had applied a job at the first one last year, but no luck. I will never be in the second one. And a couple of weeks back an affiliate company of GE has called me to offer a position. I am still waiting the invitation for interview from them, hopefully there will be.

Easy money

April 12, 2012.

That morning when I arrived in office, as usual, I checked my Gmail inbox. One name of the senders really catches my eyes. Raef Labani. My former boss, with an email subject - Request for standby assistance. Below is the content of the email he sent.

Dear Shah,

Hope you are doing well.

Installation of Titan PC2 panel is scheduled to start April 16.

Randal will be in charge of doing it; he has previous experience with Simatic control systems.

I request you for standby telephone assistance in case anything comes up which you could answer based on your experience with installing/commissioning PC1 panel.

We offer you a lump sum of 1000 RM for such support whether you have been called or not.

Kindly let me know if acceptable.

Who dare to control this machine?

Yang masih tak tahu apekebende ni..Ini adalah picture of the flight deck of space shuttle Endeavour. The controls of one of the humanity's most sophisticated machines. What would it be like to fly a space shuttle?

Tengok je dah nak muntah. I can't imagine how long one takes to master the controlling system for this shuttle. Kalau nak jadi pilot pun dah makan tahun-tahun jugak kan. Inikan space shuttle.

Nampak seat die macam tak selesa je. FYI, the NASA's space shuttle has now been retired. The retired space shuttles are now being sent to museums, with Endeavour being sent to California Space Center in Los Angeles, California, Atlantis to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex on Merritt Island, Florida, and Discovery to the Udvar-Hazy Annex of the National Air and Space Museum in Chantilly, Virginia.

So sesapa berpeluang ke tempat-tempat yang disebut di atas boleh la buat lawatan untuk melihat NASA punye shuttles.

Imam Batal Solat..Hence..

Dua minggu lepas, selepas waktu pejabat, aku dan beberapa rakan sekerja pergi minum di kawasan berdekatan dengan pejabat kami. Maka bermulalah bual-bual kosong orang bujang yang biasa-biasa ketika lepak di mamak. Tapi aku sahaja yang sudah berkahwin. Pada ketika itu, mereka hangat menceritakan kisah-kisah kelakar yang pernah terjadi pada mereka atau kawan-kawan. Aku pun tak ketinggalan menyedekahkan dua atau tiga cerita yang dapat gelakan yang agak kuat. Dalam banyak-banyak cerita, keluar la satu cerita di mana cerita tentang solat dan waktu sujud Imam terbatal solat dan Imam terus meluru keluar dari jemaah tanpa jemaah ketahui akannya. Setelah sekian lama, seorang jemaah bangun dan menjerit "Imam sudah hilang"..disusuli dengan jemaah lain bangun, dan terus batal solat mereka semuanya.

Dari kisah tadi tu, timbul pula persoalan, apakah yang terjadi kepada makmum sekiranya Imam terbatal solatnya. Maka di sini suka aku nak ceritakan bersandarkan hadis riwayat Bukhari seperti terjemahan di bawah:

" Jika Imam betul, pahala solat itu bagi kamu dan dia (Imam), sebaliknya jika dia (Imam) tidak betul, maka solat itu bagi kamu dan tidak (sah) bagi dia (Imam)." Sahih Bukhari, cetakan Istanbul 2/187.

Maksudnya di sini, selagi kita (makmum) tidak mengetahui bahawa Imam itu tidak terbatal solatnya, maka solat kita adalah sah tetapi tidak pada Imam itu. Akan tetapi jika kita mengetahui yang solat Imam itu terbatal selagi kita tidak berniat mufarakah maka batal lah jugak solat kita.

Ok, mufarakah ialah di mana kita qasad niat untuk keluar dari jemaah itu. Bila dah niat macam tu kita just sambung je solat kita macam biasa. Untuk keterangan lanjut pasal Mufarakah boleh baca di sini.

Identity busted - Royal family bashed local dude

I still remember but not exactly sure when I told my wife that royal family that bashed Mikael Adam, which I accidentally happened to read the article while browsing the net, would be someone either from Johor Royal family or Negeri Sembilan Royal family.

With dissatisfaction my wife asked "Why?".

I added, "Because both are like gangsters".
