Murah Hati Yang Mahal

Abah singgah solat di sebuah surau. Usai solat seorang budak menghampiri abah. Sebuah tabung derma dihulurnya.

Dia berkata, “Tak tentu!

Jawabnya, “Budak tu anak yatim. Berjalan kaki jauh, lapar.

Subhanallah... Dia jauh lebih murah hati daripada abah.

Abah mula berasa sebak.

“Kalu gitu mari ikut ambo pergi makan.” sambil abah memegang tangannya.

8. Melenyapkan kebencian, kedengkian dan dapat meluluhkan hati.

SUBHANALLAH !

Failed Engineering Implementation

Please be careful in choosing contractor for your projects. Some of them are really idiots. Those who works as engineer especially in design must have recognized the errors in the pictures below.

When some engineering had been revised by consultants or client, they usually will marked the error with 'cloud' to revise that part. Look what happened to the ceiling..Ohh man.

Below is the most epic failed. Haha..

What an idiot!

Satu Jawapan Untuk Tiga Soalan

Kiyai : Bagaimana rasanya tamparan saya?

Pemuda: Tentu saja saya merasakan sakit.

Pemuda: Ya!

Kiyai : Tunjukan pada saya wujud sakit itu!

Kiyai : Itulah jawaban pertanyaan pertama...kita semua merasakan kewujudan Tuhan tanpa mampu melihat.

Pemuda: Kulit.

Kiyai : Terbuat dari apa pipi anda?

Pemuda: Kulit.

Kiyai : Bagaimana rasanya tamparan saya?

Pemuda: Sakit.

Don'ts During Interview

1. Being late
While occasional lateness may be excused in other situations, it's often a deal-breaker in a job interview. Hiring managers assume that you're on your best behavior while interviewing, so if you aren't on time for the interview, they'll assume you'll be unreliable if they hire you. Always allow more time than you'll need to travel so that you have a buffer in case something goes wrong.

2. Badmouthing a former employer
As tempting as it might be to explain that you left your last job because your boss was crazy or that your previous company was mismanaged and corrupt, sharing these feelings will reflect badly on you. Rightly or wrongly, the interviewing convention is that you don't badmouth a previous employer. Hiring managers are looking for evidence that you know what is and isn't appropriate to say in business situations.

3. Not being prepared with example that illustrate why you'd excel at the job
If you claim that you excel at strategizing or that you're an innovative genius, but then aren't able to give specific examples of how you've used these skills, interviewers aren't going to give much credence to your claims. Make sure to come to the interview prepared with specific examples from your past that show how you've turned your skills into real accomplishments at work.

4. Telling an off-color joke
Interviewers are scrutinizing you for evidence of what kind of judgment you have. No matter how friendly your interviewer might seem, inappropriate jokes or off-color language have no place in a job interview. You'll call your judgment into question, and will make your interviewer wonder what you'll be like when your guard is down after you have the job.

5. Not asking any questions
You might be spending eight hours a day in this job, at this company, with this manager. Are you sure there's nothing you're wondering about? Interviewers want to know that you're interested in the details of the job, the department in which you'll be working, the supervisor's management style, and the culture of the organization. Otherwise, you're signaling that you're either not that interested or that you just haven't thought much about it. So come prepared with thoughtful, intelligent questions about the work you'd be doing.

6. Sounding bitter
Job-searching is tough, and it's easy to feel discouraged. But if you sound even the tiniest bit bitter or negative about your job search or a previous employer, you'll turn off potential employers and almost guarantee that you won't get offers. No one wants to hire someone who seems angry or resentful.

7. Not being likeable
Interviewers are human and want to work with pleasant people. If you're unfriendly, arrogant, or rude, it won't matter how qualified you are; interviewers won't want to hire you. So be friendly and open, and show genuine interest in the people with whom you're talking. Don't feel you have to hide your personality, or be so formal that you become stiff or impersonal.

Lelaki Ini Lari Tak Mahu Berzina

  • Pemimpin yang adil;
  • pemuda yang masanya dihabiskan untuk beribadah kepada Allah SWT;
  • seseorang yang hatinya terpaut pada masjid;
  • 2 lelaki yang berkasih sayang, bertemu dan berpisah kerana Allah SWT;
  • lelaki yang digoda oleh perempuan cantik dan berpengaruh untuk melakukan maksiat tetapi dia menolak dengan mengatakan Aku Takutkan Allah;
  • seseorang yang bersedekah dan menyembunyikannya sehingga tangan kanannya tidak mengetahui apa yang diberikan oleh tangan kirinya;
  • dan seseorang yang mengingati Allah ketika bersendirian sehinggakan mengalir air matanya kerana Allah SWT.”
(Riwayat Muslim)

Okey, mari kita hurai sikit..

Satu: Pemimpin atau Imam yang adil.
Ertinya, setiap pemimpin bertanggungjawab atas jagaannya.

Malaikat bertanya: “Nak kemana?”
Dijawab: “Aku mahu menziarah saudara ku… … ..”
Tanya malaikat lagi: Untuk apa?”
Dijawab:”Tiada apa-apa pun.” Ditanya lagi:”
Apa tujuannya?” Lelaki itu menjawab:
"Aku mencintainya kerana Allah.”

Lima: Lelaki apabila mengingati Allah bersendirian menitis airmatanya.

11 Jenis Manusia Didoa Malaikat

2. Orang yang sedang duduk menunggu waktu solat.

Rasulullah s.a.w bersabda maksudnya: "Tidaklah salah seorang antara kalian yang duduk menunggu solat, selama ia berada dalam keadaan suci, kecuali kalangan malaikat akan mendoakannya: 'Ya Allah, ampunilah ia. Ya Allah sayangilah ia.'"

9. Orang yang membelanjakan harta (infak).

Rasulullah s.a.w bersabda, maksudnya: "Tidak satu hari pun di man a pagi harinya seorang hamba ada padanya kecuali dua malaikat turun kepadanya, satu antara kedua-duanya berkata: 'Ya Allah, berikanlah ganti bagi orang yang berinfak...' "

WAllahu'alam.Semoga kita
termasuk dan tersenarai sama. InsyaAllah

Thank You Harmony

Since I left my WD player at my parent's, someone has ruined the remote control. Well the usual suspects would be either my son or both my nephews all under the age of 3-Year old. I could not blame them for their crime.

It's killing me though because nobody selling the remote control. I have looked everywhere for it, at the Low Yat, local market website in Malaysia and every shopping complex I visited and dropped by at the computer store. No one! I could order from WD itself actually but the shipment only within U.S. I could not watch any movies through this WD again without the remote.

Initially I found an advertisement in mudah.my selling the Logitech Harmony Universal Remote. I called him and confirmed the item was RM220. I browsed lelong then and found it with cheaper price. Only RM170. Without further ado, I grabbed it.

The result now I can watch my movies through my WD and disposed my other remote controls as well. Not disposed la, just keep them away in some drawers in my house. Why need 3 remote controls if you just need 1 only for your Astro, TV and WD. Intelligence as well, you can teach it how to control your device in case the model is not in the database.

Total solution as Sales Engineers call it.

The Dumb and Dumber

It weeps my heart really bad when I went through comments on one issue that had been put up on facebook. It was about Datuk Zulkifli Nordin has urged government to ban one book that promotes mixed marriages in Malaysia. He said the book sending a message that muslim women can marry non-muslim men. I do not know whether it’s true or not about the book he said.

Deep down inside me, I was mad with some non-muslims’ comments about the issue. Please, if you do not know anything about Islam, do not talk about it. You can led the dumb even dumber especially the dumb muslim. It makes me even angrier when I read a muslim’s comment like he knows everything about Islam but the fact is he doesn’t.  Let me quote some of dumb non-muslim:

Louis Denis: “no such thing that non-muslim married to muslim need to become muslim…it’s not necessary..after all there is only one god…”

More dumb comments:

Thanusya Shanmuganathan: “so stupid..ridiculous..where’s the right to religion? I thought we Malaysians can choose our religion??no meh?they want to marry whoever let them do it la..”

Joey Shawn: “Excuse me..open your eyes and look around the world, only Malaysia has the restriction with non-muslim married to muslim must convert lor!! Pls..so antique better you send yourself in to museum okay. What’s wrong with muslim married non-muslim??? So long they respect each other any religion also fine. Which religion teaching u to be BAD?? Unless u from cult la!!

Seriously I don’t get the last sentence from Joey Shawn. Huhu.

In Malaysia regulations, before we getting married, we need to attend a 2 days class for marriages course. In this class they will teach almost everything about marriage to prepare us for it, so the marriage is legal by Islam law and blessed by Allah.

When I read a comment form a muslim that shared the same ideology with the non-muslims I mentioned above. I reckon that he must have not married yet or no idea what he has learned in the class. In the class you will learn about the conditions that make your marriage legal by the law of Islam. Let me recite some of them here.

        The pillars of solemnizations
  1.  Groom – a man
  2.  Bride – a woman
  3.  Wali (Guardian)
  4.  Two men for witness
  5.  Ijab and Kabul
Conditions for groom-to-be
  1. Muslim
  2. Not being force to
  3. A real guy
  4. Not having 4 wives prior to the solemnization
  5. Not in pilgrimage mode or haj mode
  6. Not a ‘mahram’ to the bride (means he is marry-able by Islam law)
  7. Confidence that the bride is not ‘mahram’.
  8. Fit to settle down
  9. No marriage restrictions

Conditions for bride-to-be
  1.  Muslim
  2. A real woman
  3. Not a ‘mahram’ to the grrom (means she is marry-able by Islam law)
  4. Not a khunsa (two sex)
  5. Not in pilgrimage mode or haj mode.
  6. Not in idah mode (The periods when she has been divorced)
  7. Not anyone’s wife.

Further, you moron also can refer to decision made by National Fatwa Council during the 18th Muzakarah which cited a Christian woman married to a muslim guy, hence their marriage is not legal by the Islam law. To those who can read malay, may continue your reading in this entry here.

And Islam never forbids its adherents to mixed marriages or interracial marriage if that what you call. A malay muslim guy can marry any woman of any races and vice versa provided the rules and conditions set forth are followed.

For the dumb non-muslims that cannot accept the Islam regulations, please marry a non-muslim and stop make any false accusations about Islam. For the dumb muslim that just happen to know this regulations, your spouse should convert to Islam prior to solemnization only if the spouse to be is a non-muslim. Datuk Zul also needs to make a clear statement about this. Don’t just simply make an arrogant statement.

Comprehende?

Bikin Panas, Minah Islam Simpan Blog Pasal Bible

Tengah-tengah aku facebooking malam-malam ni, aku jumpa la minah ni punya link, so aku click nak usha page die..the latest status update die pasal die dah letak new entry kat blog-blog die. so aku terjah la blog-blog die.

Ah sudah..terperanjat aku salah satu link yang die tulis kat situ pasal Mega Site of Bible Prophecy Information (http://lilysahaja.logspot.com/) and then another one tu baru aku rasa betul blog die (http://thelilyonly.blogspot.com).

Macam-macam berlegar dalam kepala hotak aku time tu. Rasa macam nak report kat Hasan Ali Akidah. Nak report kat Perkasa..macam-macam lagi.

Bila perati betul-betul kat address dia tu, aku rasa semacam. Tak pernah pulak aku dengar blog dari logspot.com. Maybe ni site baru yang nak tiru blogspot kot.

Tanpa berpikir panjang aku pun betulkan ejaan tu dari logspot ke blogspot..so jadi la http://lilysahaja.blogspot.com/...

For Muslims Haters, Please Read

To all Islam haters out there..please read this carefully, you moron..

I liked the answer of the Germanium Muslim scholar when he was asked about terrorism and Islam.

He said, "Who started the first world war? Muslims?..Who started the second world war? Muslims?..Who killed about 20 millions of Aborigines in Australia? Muslims?..Who sent the nuclear bombs of Hiroshima and Nagasaki? Muslims?..Who killed more that 100 millions of Indians in North America? Muslim?..Who killed more than 50 millions of Indians in South America? Muslims?..Who took about 180 millions of African people as slave and 88% of them died and was thrown in Atlantic Ocean? Muslims?..No, they were not muslims!

First of all, you have to define terrorism properly. If a non muslim do something bad, it is a crime but if a muslim commit same, he is terrorist. So first remove this double standard and then come to the point.

Things You Should Never Do at Work

  1. Say or write anything you wouldn't want plastered on the Yahoo home page, or in the hands of the SEC, FTC, DOJ, or IRS. You have zero expectation of privacy at work and should therefore assume that anything and everything is being recorded for all eternity and will come back to haunt you at the worst possible time. That includes emails, phone calls, even hallway or parking lot conversations.
  2. Over-apologize. We all make mistakes and it's always good to fess up, but in business, you can go too far and actually make matters worse. If it's a minor issue, just a quick "sorry about that" is fine. If it's a big screw-up, apologize in private, face-to-face. Look the guy in the eye, say your piece, and be done with it. If you want confirmation, then ask, "Are we good now?" Don't grovel, make promises you can't keep, or anything else. Just man-up and leave it alone.
  3. Take your smartphone to the bathroom. Hopeless addiction to smartphones, needing to stay connected 24x7, and being constantly pressed for time, do not belong in a place where flushes can be heard on the other end of the line or, God forbid, the thing can drop into something wet, white, and porcelain. Leave it in your pocket and, if it rings, have the good sense not to answer.
  4. Cross swords with your boss, your boss's boss, or any other boss. Too many of you just don't get how civilization, organization, or the lack of either - which we affectionately call the jungle - works. You simply don't square off with your boss or anyone in the chain of command. If you lose, you lose; if you win, you still lose. It'll end badly and reflect badly on you no matter how it goes down. 5. Go looking for trouble. If you're in a bad mood or pissed off at somebody or something, walk it off or treat yourself to a nice greasy donut or something. If you go looking for trouble, however, I can almost guarantee you will find it and it won't end well for you. Don't pick fights, push buttons, or otherwise give anyone a hard time. It's called acting out, it's childish, and it'll stunt your career, big-time.
  6. Make commitments you can't keep or exaggerate your ability or influence. And don't lie either. The more straightforward and genuine you are, the smoother your career - and your life, for that matter - will go. Do what you say you're going to do, leave the BS for the other guy, and your credibility will grow, people will count on you for more and more, and off you go.
  7. Get angry, abusive, combative, or loud in an open or cubicle area. Admittedly, I was often guilty of this, back in the day. It wasn't acceptable then and it's not acceptable now, but at least then, it was a relatively common occurrence. These days, you stand out like a big bully, big-time. And nobody likes a bully.
  8. Say or do stuff people really don't want to hear or see. "Too much information" might be a bit subjective, but there's a common sense line you shouldn't cross, including anything to do with your sex life, religious beliefs, political leanings, finances, holistic cures for mysterious ailments, frequency of bowel movements, revealing tats or scars that are and should remain hidden by clothing, you get the picture.
  9. Act like a whiny, PITA negatron that nobody wants to have anything to do with. It's ironic, but those who do all the complaining are the ones that make the workplace a living hell, not the people or stuff they're always whining about. Think about it.
  10. Talk trash about a coworker to anyone, anywhere on company property. You can be sure it'll get around and come back to bite you in the end. Save it for friends, your spouse, or better still, the dog.

Kencana HL and Shinryo Secured Petronas Gas Jobs

Kencana HL Sdn Bhd in consortium with Shinryo (M) Sdn Bhd, had signed a contract with Petronas Gas Bhd to provide engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) work for two
co-generation plants.

I worked with Shinryo in 2008 for co-generation plant at Petronas Fertilizer Kedah. Combined cycle with two trains of Gas Turbine Generator (GTG) and Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG). Shinryo's technical advisor, Mr. Nishimura is a very detail and precise guy. Knowledgeable person and very good in what he does. My former boss once said to me, if Nishimura is gone in the middle of the project, I think the project will collapse. Everybody seems to be referring to him on the technical matters.

This is the first time I heard Kencana involvement in co-generation plant EPCC. I don't know they have such expertise. Well, Petronas's advisor is Tun Mahathir while Kencana HL is wholly-owned by Kencana Petroleum. And guess what, Kencana Petroleum group CEO is Dato' Mokhzani Mahathir. Problem solved!

Puncak Oil & Gas Secured 500mil Contract

Puncak Niaga Holdings Bhd, which ventured into the oil and gas industry last year, has managed to secure contracts worth RM500 million, said its executive chairman Tan Sri Rozali Ismail.

Its involvement in the industry is via wholly-owned unit, Puncak Oil and Gas Sdn Bhd (POG), which had stakes in Global Offshore (M) Sdn Bhd and KGL Ltd last year.

Rozali said the company has been involved in many projects here and was ready for expansion overseas after recruiting experienced and capable staff to expand the oil and gas operations.

Maybe now it's a good times to move on to Puncak Oil & Gas. But they did not specify where the contract comes from. The most important is, for what project? Probably various orders? Or probably just a wild gossip to boost up their image in oil & gas so they can easily win the future project bid with Petronas or other operators.

Signs of Job Scam

I don't know about other industries, but in oil & gas this issue is prolonged since I am not sure when and I think it has become common. If you work in the oil & gas, the chances to receive such scam is high, it will be even higher if you an avid job seeker. It happened to me twice.

The first scam I got in Nov 2009, from a recruiter called Greatjobsdiary based in Scotland. I was applying the job through a forwarded email in my Yahoo group. A month later, they emailed me that they are interested to interviewing me through Skype due to great distance between us and in order to save cost, convenience and accessibility. I remembered their so called recruitment expert, Mr. frank Otieno, a Scottish guy. I barely comprehend anything that came out from his mouth during the interview due to his strong Scottish dialect. 2 days after the online interview, I received another email from them saying that their Australia clients are interested in having face to face interview with me in Brisbane. I started to feel doubtful when I read I have to pay upfront for air ticket and any related logistic matters which cost around USD1,839 which is of course they said refundable during the interview. I later confirmed it was definitely a scam when I emailed one of the client in Australia and the HR confirmed that his company has never engaged Greatjobsdiary for recruiting.

One of the sign that is definitely a scam. Candidates will never have to pay some amounts of money upfront prior to interview or relocation (in case you already secured the job). I had interviewed with Shell, they paid everything from air ticket to accommodation. Only the ground transportation such as taxi need to be used own money and to be claim later. I have also recently received an offer from automation company based in middle east. The company will pay around equivalent to RM20K for my relocation (Visa, passport, goods delivery etc) which of course excludes the air ticket for business class.

The second one, also happened in 2009, a company called elite-petrochemical limited based in Nigeria. They claimed they are supplying manpower for project code name: Escravos Project where Chevron is the biggest share holder. The trick is, I filled in the application form and answered some questions in the given form. Around a month later they come back to me with an offer that looks too good to be true. Why? With no interview either face to face or phone and no technical assessment and all, they willing to offer me as much as USD8,000 per month. I find that so ridiculous and backed off. However, I did replied them. I knew that the then group company I worked in was involved with Escravos, so I threw them a question "As far as my knowledge, the project has successfully delivered earlier this year, if I were to accept your offer what would exactly my scope of works there?" They never replied back!

Besides above mentioned signs, you can do some detective works by yourself if you encountered this situation or received offer that so doubtful. Well, google it. Try to find as much as possible about the company. Make a few calls if necessary to find out whether the company is legitimate. Some stupid scammers used commercial email in dealing with the victims. You must be aware of this. Sometimes you can see, for example: Shell Careers, but actually its email shell.career@gmail.com. You know what I mean. And the most common way is to ask around. Ask your friend in the industry about the offer, ask the seniors. They probably know better.

Do not fall in their trap, this is something that see-able and avoidable and predictable.
